What is Tight and Adaptive Noise Shaping mode Actually Doing?

Hello,

It's actually very hard to search for this because the search thinks "tight mode" is too generic.

I've tried everything I can think of to figure out whether the different modes are making a difference anywhere, but when I compare the modes using multiple curves, multiple dynamic settings, etc.etc. It nulls to -128 db. I can't figure out any difference it makes for the life of me. Some help or explanation would be greatly appreciated!
