This is the one thing that stops me from using H7S a lot. The palm mutes sound fantastic....but in faster playing, it sounds rather messy. I'm curious if something could be implemented that could, in real time, shorten or elongate the palm mute samples.
It's like how Shreddage has multiple velocity layers for palm mutes. The palm mute loosens as the velocity increases, and tightens as it decreases.
V-Metal has a solution for this where there's a real time sample stretch algorithm in use in Kontakt, however the flip side is that their solution uses quite a bit of CPU power.
Palm mute samples length? Shorten (Tighten) or Make longer (Loosen)

Hi!
At current, our palm-mute samples only have one layer of velocity, and its strength is pretty heavy. This is a known issue, as we did not consider enough on the modern fast-playing trends. We will add more layers in next major update.
As the major update would really take some time to be finished, you can use these ways as workaround:

- Use muting pressure control that can have a slight adjust on muting sound. It is located with other mute controlling stuffs and labelled as "pressure".
- Adjust legato release time to shorten the tail of playing samples. It is a global option located in settings panel.

You can control lenght using tension and pressure knobs and the main UI

YESSSS I noticed the same..why??? If you make a virtual guitar you NEED to focus on palm mute, the most usted articulation on this genre...almost 4 layers are needed...chug, tight, loose, and heavy-hit loose with looong decay for doom of slow parts. PLEASEEEE!!! HS7 is the best guitar on the market...but...we not heard about any news so many time...so bad...
