Horrible Demo Strategy

Postby axzz » Tue Dec 12, 2017 6:54 pm

Hi,

i just bought H7S without being sure, if it will improve my music. But i had to buy it for testing, because your idea of bringing up the most annoying sound in the world during the demo every 20 seconds made the demo completely unusable. I couldn't even run short passages without being interrupted. You can't do such an advertisment stragegy with a product, where the comstumer has to concentrate and focus on it with one of his senses while aggressivly disturbing him on the same sense.
It's like trying to sell a TV where the colors are going to be extremly ugly every 20 seconds. Doesn't make much sense, right? Might even make the product look bad. That's why there is no other company that does things like that.

Second: Why is the guitar in the UI displayed reverse to the strings? The high E-String is on the top end of the guitar, while you also display a left handers guitar. It makes you look like having no clue how to hold a guitar or put strings on it. For example: Look at Amples UI (using their demo right now, too. seems to have not as much customisation possibilites) or every other string instrument VST in the world, they displayed the instrument and the strings in the right order.

So, now i hope the software is worth the 200$...

Hi,

Thanks for your support. The reason we add that sound is to prevent possible crack on our product, the 20 second is already a longer one since our original demo has it every 5 second.
As for the UI, a lot plugins have their high E string placed at the bottom. Place tone, vol and whammy bar on the side is a little bit weird so we mix things up and the end result is what it is now.

Axzz, as a guitar and bass player I can assure that the graphics for the GUI is the most intuitive for a musician: think about how you use a guitar and how and what perspective you look at the instrument you wear: it's the same as the software GUI.

I think it is rather a good model. I can use H7S demo version not just for a week or for a month. I use it when I have free time. I'm sure it is very suitable. Even without experiencing the full range of possibilities, having those cool reluctant noize, my summary is - must have.

I can see the sun throuhout the cluods! The noise is really annoying but you can listen the quality of the vst as well. After that, to play it pofessionally, I purchased it and now is mine!

The demo sound may be a bit annoying but you should be glad to be able to try a fully featured version for FREE, I really had to buy it to test it since there was no demo version at the time
About the GUI, lower strings are at the bottom according to guitar tablature notation
