Chord Notes incorrect

Postby andrewdavid » Tue Nov 21, 2017 2:12 am

Hello - loving the instrument so far.

Came across a problem when going through some chord shapes. The notes played are incorrect for the following chords - G, G7, and B7

G Major Chord - the second string is being played as a D instead of an open B
G7 Chord - the 1sr string is playing an F instead of an open E
B7 Chord - notes on the second and 4th string are incorrect.

Otherwise great instrument!!

Hi Andrew:

Among different combinations, we chose a relatively simple way of chord notes. If you think it is not good, you can change the chord notes by editing this file:

Code: Select all

Mac:
/Users/(your user name)/Library/ThreeBodyTech/Heavier7Strings/chords_mapping
Windows:
C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\ThreeBodyTech\Heavier7Strings\chords_mapping

It can be opened by text editing app.

Each line of the file is separated into four fields. The first field describes chord name and triggering notes. And the following three fields describes the compositing frets of each string. Specifically, "-1" means do not play that string, and "0" means open string.

The size of this file is pretty large, you may search the chords you want to change and only modify those chords. Please remember to backup this file before editing it, in avoid of breaking its content. If you unfortunately break it, you can simply reinstall Heavier7Strings to get a brand new copy.

Thanks for the feedback! It is good to know that there is a way to adjust your chord voicings. I will give it a try - thanks!!
