I'm using portamento (CC 5) quite a lot and after a while it gets a little boring to draw the CC envelopes in MIDI editor.
By default Shreddage 2 guitars handle overlapping notes like this:
- When the 2nd note is above certain velocity it becomes hammer-on/pull-of
- When the 2nd note is below certain velocity it becomes portamento slide
- When the 2nd note plays quickly enough after the first one (within "chord threshold", for example 100 milliseconds) it acts like a normal picked note
Now H7S is overall very different to Shreddage so I don't know how that could be implemented but it would be nice to have some option to use portamento without need to both overlap 2 notes AND use MIDI CC. It's not a huge deal but it would improve the workflow a bit.
Cheers
Using portamento by simply overlapping 2 notes?

This is a good idea, and we will try to add this function in next update. However, currently Heavier7Strings already has the function that using velocity to control open/palm-mute playing and picking noise, so we have to consider carefully about how to add velocity slide controlling to existing functions.
